I just wanted to reply back to a comment you left I did not get to do it before so here I am leaving it on your blog .
the same questions came to my midn about hadeeth like you, hadeeth HAS to go in line with quran if it doesnt then it is dropped , also one needs to understand the language of arabic to understand how hadeeth is understood . Their is a whole science to it , you need to learn the science then you will understand how it works .

I can’t believe Pakistan and Argentina have had female leaders now and the US still can’t make it happen. Hell, JFK has been our most “diverse” president just by virtue of being Catholic. Pathetic.

I’ve heard your ridiculous argument so many times I can recite it in my sleep. You can’t convince me that saying up is down makes sense in Arabic, and yes, many many hadith clearly contradict each other, the Qu’ran, and basic sense. Uncritical acceptance of ahadith has probably hurt Islam more than any other single thing.

I would actually have a lot to say if only I was knowledgable of Argentine politics. It’s still very nice to know that the world can slowly accept women into power; afterall, the world does revolve because of us women!!! XD

Dave: Things may change in ‘08. It looks like the US may have it’s first woman or racial minority president.

Aina: Actually, I’ve barely followed the politics here. I feel so ignorant! I’ve told myself a bunch of times I would find out everything about the political system, but I just haven’t. I know the basics but not the details… I’m way more interested in learning about the culture.

It’s fine, to understand politics of a country you actually need to know the culture of the country, its history and the way things are in general. So its definitely understandable for you to not know too much about Argentina’s politics.
