I had my hair done by a Ukrainian man who was forcibly enlisted into the Soviet army as a teenager and then eventually ended up in Afghanistan. (And from there, cutting hair in Chicago...how weird!) He said I reminded him of some Afghani girl he knew while he was on his tour of duty. That part sort of creeped me out though. I did not realize their are still people with a name like that , have you read a book called 'white teeth '? by zaydie smith , well one of the main charactors name is archie , except in this one archie is uneducated , and he has a friend his name is damm I can't remember the name , anyways his bestfriend was a bangladashi,they both served in world war 2 , you should read that book I think you will find it gross, and hilarious ! lol , I enjoyed reading your entry , archie ? You wil find it intresting, hypocritical and unique .
